The foam roller: if you are planning to buy one, look for an open cell foam (they are sometimes called beginner ones); it shouldn't have any bumps or knobs. You also want to have a long one - the one that is slightly longer than your entire torso length. I've got one of mine at Canadian Tire not so long ago - it is grey, and comes from Gaiam brand.
