Hey ,
Happy Wednesday!
Today is the last day to save on all winter classes!
You know
what they say - use it or lose it.
Thinking of hibernating this winter?
Me too..., literally every year in November.
While the idea of cozying up during the dark, cold months sounds quite lovely - especially when sidewalks turn to glare ice - the cost of inactivity is crazy high.
Research on bed rest reveals the alarming effects of immobility. Within just days, the heart output drops, arteries begin to narrow and stiffen, and muscles start to break down.
Immobility also reduces body's sensitivity to insulin, making it harder to control blood sugar levels. And let's not forget the toll immobility takes on mental health...No wonder I felt rotten the years I gave hibernation a solid go.
These days, I rely on structure rather than willpower, because I know that willpower can (and will) falter. I go to class twice a week, like it or not, want it or not, so even when my home yoga practice slacks and there's no way I can walk outside, I'm still on track and moving my body.
How do you want to feel this winter?
Energized, strong, healthy...
Let's make it happen. Find a class, and let's get moving together.
Pain Care Yoga: Ideal for anyone dealing with chronic pain, healing from injury, or seeking gentle movement that focuses on mindful breath and body awareness. This class helps participants explore ways to move with less discomfort, offering a compassionate approach to pain relief.
