Hey ,
I'm excited to return to my writing routine! For newcomers, I post a new Satori blog entry every two weeks, with planned breaks over the summer (June–September) and in December for the Christmas season. These breaks allow me to come back with refreshed ideas and meaningful content for you.
This summer, I found myself fascinated by the topic of our gut and its microbiome. It's amazing how much our gut health affects us—everything from menopausal symptoms to allergies, sleep quality, heart health, and stress management. Taking care of our gut really is one of the best things we can do for our well-being.
This fall, we'll be exploring these fascinating connections between gut health and overall well-being in-depth on the blog, while also incorporating gentle movement practices for a healthy gut into all yoga classes. And, of course, I’ll share some breathing and movement ideas here, on the blog.
Yoga classes this fall:
Just a quick reminder: Satori Yoga classes are offered by registration only. We usually run three sessions (semesters) throughout the school year—fall, winter, and spring—with each session lasting 8 to 11 weeks. Registration opens approximately one to one and a half months before each
session begins.
Satori group classes follow three distinct tracks: Pain Care Yoga, Core Restore Yoga, and Core Fitness Yoga. Each track has its own benefits and challenges, and is designed with a particular purpose in mind.
Pain Care Yoga - Thursdays at 6 PM.
Pain
Care Yoga is a gentle online class designed for individuals with mobility challenges, focusing on ease of movement and breath for effective pain management.
Core Restore - Wednesdays at 6 PM.
Women's bodies go through so many changes—periods, pregnancies, birth, menopause, and plenty of hormonal ups and downs. Through all these shifts and challenges, it's easy to lose touch with our core and the important connection between our nervous system and our muscles. Core Restore classes are here to
help you reconnect and move with more ease and confidence.
Core Fitness Classes – Tuesdays at 6 PM.
These classes add a whole new level of challenge.
CoreFit classes build on the Core Restore foundation to help you discover the relationship between core stability and strength. We have fun challenging our balance and stability in lots of creative ways,
while also working on whole-body flexibility and building strength in those deep, supportive muscles.
Each of these class tracks is its own little
ecosystem, with unique progressions and challenges. Pain Care Yoga is the foundation for building basic comfort and movement. Core Restore builds on that foundation, helping you further reconnect with your core and nervous system. Core Fitness builds upon the strength, stability, and awareness developed in previous classes. They’re all connected, and you’re welcome to explore them in the way that works best for you.
