Welcome to week 7 Friday Round-up, and happy long weekend!
This week's mission possible is short and sweet: book
and execute some screen - free time.
The intention behind this mission is to serve as a reset button: temporarily disconnect to be able to reconnect fully.
I've been toying with this idea since I've realized how much of my leisurely time (beyond biz writing) - reading, watching movies, etc - is also spent with a screen of some sorts. I had to actually carve out a screen-free time, and then diligently guard it against all
screen intrusions. Phone and Facebook seem very, very sneaky.
I also noticed how easily screen-time can induce nervousness, anxiety and sleeplessness.
That's when I decided that a bold move - like actually scheduling screen free time for my health - is in order.
I invite you to shine the light of awareness into the dark corners of screened world, pay attention to how screen time affects you,
and experiment with booking a screen-free time - even if for just 5 minutes.
