My friend Angie calls me "a fact-finding ninja," and Brenda - one of Satori students - says,
"Julia, I’m so glad you’re you!!
You find all the information and do all the research and say it’s fascinating!!"
It's true. Finding relevant information - and I strive to provide the most helpful information possible on this tricky path we call healing - is both my strength and my
weakness.
It is great when pieces of information puzzle fit together like a charm.
Not so awesome when you feel like you are drowning in the sea information...
If there's anything I've learned through a
lifetime of sifting through research and data (my background in nuclear physics has certainly been an asset here!) is that new information - both physical and intellectual - tends to float on the surface of our awareness until we give ourselves the opportunity to pause, to be, and most importantly to feel what is right and valid for us.
Going to multiplicity of yoga
teacher trainings and retreats have taught me that integration time is the most important + overlooked piece of healing + learning process. This is WHEN all the learning / growing actually happens!
So today we put a pause on the new info and take a trip down the memory lane - a look back at some of the most popular topics of the past year:
(I love hiking back into familiar places... Every
time I do, I see things I haven't noticed before. Enjoy!)
