Last week I talked about putting a pause on new information to give our beings - bodies, minds, eyes, and ears - a chance to recover from the constant barrage of information + stimulation that we all have come to experience.
The truth is our society runs on information. Information is our new currency.
And while pain neuroscience education is an invaluable tool that in and of itself can reduce pain and suffering {that's why I spend a large portion of each day sharing articles that illuminate how and why this happens}, the
downside to all the influx of information is that makes it easy to forget that information on its own doesn't change much.
In order for us to facilitate change we need to apply our knowledge in a very particular way - by putting our new found tools to practice.
So if you have been reading my posts for a while without taking any further steps, now might be a good time to ask yourself:
When is it actually gonna be a good time to start taking solid steps toward feeling better?
And the truth is - especially if you live with persistent pain - is that it never feels like a good time. So why not try it out now?
Summer is the best
time to test - drive a class; I try to make it as easy as possible to get onto the mat to un-hurt, un-sore and un-stuck yourself.
This summer there are
No sessions.
No long term commitments.
Bulk class discounts.
Mix and match options.
You can register for just one class.
You can register for several - and save some $$.
You can mix and match classes to your heart's content (
do a pain care class this week, and ball + yin the other?)
You can just come to SI JOINT - STABILITY AND EASE workshop on a Saturday in August (early bird registration for this one closes on July 25th)
This workshop was put together by popular demand and so - so - so - so many questions about low back pain and SI joint health (and unhealth).
We've even thrown in a bonus: register for 4 or more summer classes and get another 10$ off SI JOINT workshop.
