Happy Feet-ness
Dear ,
I've been wondering whether I should address this message to you or your feet. After all, in our culture of mind over matter, we don't often listen to our bodies, we exercise through pain, run when we need to be still, rush around when the best thing to do is to slow down and listen.
Just last Friday my physiotherapist Janet Wood, while working on my injured leg said: " I wonder if you have a delayed reaction to pain. Our bodies produce a special chemical when our tissues are getting damaged to make us stop. Don't you feel sick?" That's when the light bulb went on! I do feel it, of course I do! BUT....I can convince myself of pretty much anything. I tell myself to get up, to keep going, just like I was taught from the very early on. This has been my pre-programmed go to reaction.
If I could talk to your feet I wouldn't need to write this e-mail, create posters, or Facebook events. If I could talk to your feet I wouldn't need to convince your mind that coming to Healthy Feet Clinic is worth your time and money. Your feet already know.
(E-guide to your Healthy Feet will be available starting next Wednesday and video clips from May's Healthy Feet Clinic are now on Facebook.)
Escape Artists and Techno Blunders
My fabulous assistant Sarah and I have been working on the project together this Monday, when we realized that one of the messages had escaped and flung itself into the wild digital world, ending up in your mailbox as " 3 Fresh and Unexpected Ways to Lasting Weight Loss." A few minutes later we had the second escapee that managed to reach 18 people before it was contained.
Phew!
We shrugged our shoulders and would've looked at each other in complete horror, but luckily I am here in GP and Sarah is in BC, so looking at each other wasn't exactly available. We opted for the next best thing - settled down and decided that it was meant to be.
Now we are hoping that the rest of the messages will continue to arrive to your mail box on schedule, but sometimes those techno blunders are unavoidable and I apologize for the confusion this might have caused. For those of you who have absolutely no idea what I am talking about, I have attached a PDF of " 3 Fresh and Unexpected Ways to Lasting Weight Loss".
I am not talking about the famous yoga text by Paramhansa Yogananda. Some friends call me yogi ( I personally don't consider myself to be one). This is my story from A to BE. It went out on Friday to some of you, and got a lot of comments, so I thought I'd send it out to everyone. What I wrote makes me feel somewhat naked ( my coach suggested nude, but it is definitely naked!) If it serves any of you in any way, I am down for naked! Enjoy!
