A couple days ago Sarah posted this on my Facebook Wall:
Julia! It's a momentous occasion! I just REALLY learned how to be moved by/move with my breath. It took me about 15 minutes to move my head about 1/2 way to my shoulder. I'm amazed and so thankful for your help in getting me here!!!! Life is UNBELIEVABLE! :)
Sarah and I have been working together for a while - sometimes and a group setting and often one on one unwinding old holding and movement patterns. Here is Sarah's story in her own words:
 Hey Julia,

As a continuation of my earlier post, I'm soooOOOOooo thankful for the emphasis you put on alignment and self-awareness when you're facilitating a class. It's expanded my mind way beyond what any sequence of poses could do on their own, and I'm loving my body (and life!) more and more every time I practice.

When I first came to your classes I was anxious about the slow pace and missed doing the challenging poses I'd gotten used to from power yoga. Whereas in those classes I could easily measure progress (I counted chaturangas like trophies), in your classes the benefits were a lot less tangible. It's interesting to see how much my feelings have changed since then.

The more I learn to actually feel what my body wants instead of over-analyzing, exercising blind discipline, and listening to someone else tell me what to do, I'm inclined to practice less and explore more. It's incredibly empowering. By actively listening and slowing down, I can finally be happy in my own skin and enjoy the present for all that it holds (regardless of how many chaturangas I can do)!

:)I know I have so much to learn still, but I feel today was a milestone. I never thought I'd say that about breathing fully and moving my head 1/2 way to my shoulder! The realization that so much knowledge can be contained in such a simple, small movement suggests that this process never ends. What fascinating things we are!

Thank you, Julia, for being so compassionate to all of us throughout this crazy yoga-inspired journey. I'm ridiculously happy to know you.

Love,
Sarah

Here is the official last minute warning...I'm closing down early bird registration for all winter yoga classes TONIGHT at midnight mountain. There are a couple of spots left in the Monday Hatha class - one of them could be yours. Registration is right here. See you on the mat!
