What does joint inflammation, ulcers, diarrhea, itchy, irritated eyes, skin rushes, gal bladder and liver disease, high blood pressure, anger and jealousy have to do with one another?
Nothing from Western medical perspective.
Everything from Auyrvedic standpoint.
To Ayurvedic practitioner, these are the signs of aggravated Pitta dosha, the fiery principle that governs all metabolic processes in our bodies. Pitta dosha, or the principle of transformation, is responsible for, amongst other things, the healthy heart function, good visual perception, digestion of nutrients, blood chemistry and detoxification, and even healthy complexion.

Anti - Inflammatory Diet and Beyond combines the latest research in healthy eating and supplementation with the ancient wisdom or Ayurveda. The goal is to give you a wide array of tools and ability to create your own approach to healing, well - being and your diet.

Anti - Inflammatory Diet and Beyond:
November 16 ( a Wednesday) 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the Northwest Wellness Centre. Register now!
Early bird registration ends November 2nd ( that's tomorrow!)

While you are considering your options, brew yourself some tea. Here is an Ayurvedic recipe to balance Pitta dosha:
Combine equal parts of cumin seed, coriander seed and fennel seed.
Heat a cast iron frying pan and gently toast the seeds for a few minutes.
When the mixture begin to pop, remove from heat and let it cool.
Boil fresh water and let it cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
Use 1 tsp of the seed mixture per cup of hot water. Enjoy!

See you on 16th. With love,

Julia
