Summer Greetings ,
This summer has blessed us with some sweet weather and a few awesome storms. I hope you had a chance to get out and PLAY.
Now, if, in the middle of all that playing you have stopped and noticed that something important is missing in your life, and that something is your regular yoga practice, then I've got news for you! Here is a great opportunity to connect back to yourself, your center and yoga practice - registration for Summer Yoga Camp: Power To The Core, happening on mornings of August 11th and 12th, is now open.
What's that Power To The Core is all about you might ask.
May be you've noticed that your lower back gets sore after you do some walking or gardening, or, perhaps, your hips tighten after the trail run.
May be you want more power, fluidity and spring to your golf swing?
May be you feel like the steady diet of burgers and steaks fresh off the barbie has created a bit of a weight situation in the lower belly region.
Or, may be, you are done with the embarrassing little leaks that happen every time when you get excited and laugh at the family reunion.
Whatever is your cause, connecting to your core will make an impact on how you feel and move.
What's so special about core training with Satori Yoga?
After all, core strengthening classes are a dime a dozen and are offered at any gym and yoga studio, right?
Consider this: the muscles that wrap around your trunk and support your internal organs form incredibly complex and intricate system. This system consists of several different layers, each with its unique structure and function. Training the wrong muscles, or training the right muscles in a wrong way could lead to back pain, SI and hip problems, digestive issues and tension in the upper body (shoulders and neck).
Here are a few useful tidbits about the dangers of incorrect core training, and, of course, in class we'll delve into more detail. Drop a line to julia@satoriyoga.ca if you need more info or have a question.
Soooooo...
Register for the Summer Yoga Camp to power up your core. Oh, and who said that core training has to be a serious business? We all learn best when we PLAY!
See you on the mat!?
