In the past several years I wrote a few dozen of e-mail newsletters, sharing learnings and ideas with you, my reader. But the role of teacher isn't limited to just providing information. Sometimes it is all about asking the right question.
The following conversation started last week on Facebook, and promptly spilled out into discussions over coffee at Starbucks, on the yoga mats and in other places encouraging such dialog. I invite you to join in by asking yourself:
~ How much is my busyness costing me?
Here is a starting point: consider financial cost of busyness to yourself and our economy in general. Think about the health costs of being constantly on the run and pressed for time. Ask yourself what's hiding behind your busyness - what are you avoiding? What is it that you don't want to face or see? Visit Satori's Facebook page for more provocative questions about the busyness and its implications.
I look forward to hearing from you and reading your replies ( simply hit a reply button to send yours in). If you don't mind, I'd like to share your story in the up-coming newsletter - not only because each of us has a different angle and perspective; but also because sharing gives us a sense of community and belonging, the two necessities that are hardwired into our genes.
