Dear Yogi,
Spring is here! I hope you are meeting this sunny warm weather with a spring in your step, and a lovely fluid
movement in your hips. If, however, your springs feel kinda rusty, and a "lovely fluid movement" is waaaay too much to ask, - well, then you are in luck (sort of)!
This season's last master class " HIPS, CORE and MORE" is on this coming Sunday, 3:30 to 5:30 PM. We'll revisit last week's conversation about 4 hinges of the legs (read more about the 4 hinges in this afternoon's Facebook post), talk
about mechanics of healthy walking (to swing or not to swing?), feel how breath and core like to work together, and, generally, have really good time.
Soooo, if your core feels like a brick in your gut (or like you've lost your core somewhere down the road), and your hips are not so hippie anymore, please join me for an integrated whole -body (breath and nervous system included) approach to healthy locomotion and stabilization.
And, while you are trying to decide whether "HIPS,
CORE and MORE" is worth your time and money (I assure you, it definitely is), check out this latest blog post I wrote about why stretching the hip-flexors never really works.
