N.S.Reset. - a very mindful invitation:)

Published: Tue, 07/19/16

Hey ,

How’s your summer going?

I’ve got something to share with you – I’ve been brainstorming this idea for a long, long, long (did I mention long?) time, and now I am at the point that I absolutely must share it – or, quite possibly, just burst.

This whole brainstorming started one cold morning in January – you know, that time of year when you tend to set your resolutions – when I crawled out of bed after yet another sleepless night and said to myself: “Enough of this crap.  I need to reset my nervous system to be more resilient so I can sleep.”

Next thing I did?

Shared this brilliant intention with my best-est and wisest friend Kerri.

“So how are you gonna do it? “ she asked.

The more we talked, the more it became obvious – we are onto something here, and we need to teach this stuff. So here it is, without further ado, the first installment in N.S. Reset series (more to come!)

Oh, and before I get all carried away with my babbling - Mindfulness Immersion Weekend hasn't been advertised yet – you are (or course!) the first to hear about it.

As Satori rule goes – students always get the first dibs and special discounts!
Except this time I invite you to share this event (along with all discounts!) with all your peeps - as far as nervous system goes we all reflect, mirror, and are influenced by each others nervous systems.

MINDFULNESS IMMERSION Weekend – October 1 - 2:

Mindfulness begins with an amazingly simple concept.

“Paying attention – on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.”

When you hear this definition, it almost seems too easy… But is it really?

Introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion
Sunday, October 2, 9 - 1
Full Weekend Registration Only

Embrace Mindful Self-Compassion as the foundation for emotional healing.
Mindful self-compassion means holding difficult emotions—fear, anger, sadness, shame and self-doubt—as well as ourselves - in loving awareness.

Often those of us who need mindfulness the most are the ones who feel we have the least time to practice it. That’s why we also included a Sunday bonus session, “Building Better Habits With Ease,” to ensure that you have a practical skill set to integrate mindfulness and self-compassion practices into your daily life.

A word about Kerri – she will co-facilitating this workshop:

My dear friend – and a fellow Chopra Center Vedic Master - Kerri hails from Edmonton, where she passionately teaches yoga and mindfulness to anyone who’d listen (and hopes it is rubbing off on her husband and three children).

Kerri holds a degree in kinesiology and exercise physiology, a master’s degree in public health, as well as numerous teacher certifications in mindfulness and its applications. Her PhD thesis (a work in progress) is on applying mindfulness to improve stress resiliency.

She works tirelessly to bring mindfulness teachings within everyone’s reach – and I feel super-duper lucky to have her as my co-conspirator.
